Champagne Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin
The House of Clicquot was founded in 1772, but owes its current fame to the founder's remarkable daughter-in-law, Nicole Barbe Clicquot. Widowed in 1805, she took the bull by the horns and developed the business both technically and commercially in to the Champagne "powerhouse" that it is now. The distinctive orange label was first introduced in the mid 19th century and has become synonymous with an enduring and quality champagne.
